Goals

GENERAL GOAL:

To ensure that the programs and services of the Center for Overseas Workers are effective and prophetic; and integrate the RGS thrust on Women, Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation.


SPECIFIC GOALS

1. Promote and protect the basic rights and well being of the overseas Filipino workers and families and the Filipino spouses/fiancée and other partners of foreign nationals leaving the country.
2. Ensure that all Filipinos working and migrating to other countries are amply prepared to meet the practical and psychological challenges to international migration.
3. Help equip overseas Filipino workers and the Filipino spouses and other partners of foreign nationals leaving the country to be fully informed, make a free decision and to experience the wellbeing, benefits and rights of a migrant worker and immigrant and to practice  and share their faith.
4. Address issues affecting overseas Filipino workers and families and the Filipino spouses/fiancée and other partners of foreign nationals leaving the country and make a clear analysis for program effectiveness and relevance.
5. Strengthen value-related programs for overseas Filipino workers and families and the Filipino spouses/fiancée and other partners of foreign nationals leaving the country, here and abroad.
6. Link with other oppressed and exploited sectors to be able to effectively address societal structures that force people to migrate.
7. Strengthen linkage, networking, and coordinating with people’s organizations, non-government and government organizations, which are responsible to oversee and deal with the plight of the overseas Filipino workers in the job site and home country and the Filipino spouses/fiancee and other partners of foreign nationals leaving the country.
